We recognise that installing wall mounts, large format displays, projectors,
PACS furniture and other equipment can be complex, time consuming and that
getting the job done on time is of great importance to the success of a
project. To help alleviate these pressures we provide a team of experienced
Installation Engineers that provide installations of this equipment at
hospitals on a day-to-day basis.
Prior to installation we work with you to arrange a convenient time for the installation, in most cases much sooner than the hospital’s Estates Department can fit the job into their schedule. We are used to working in all different areas of the hospital including MDT & Seminar Rooms, Operating Theatres, Wards, A&E, Fracture Clinics and many other clinical areas. We accept that these areas have different usage patterns and work with you to agree the best time and date. Often this results in weekend, night or stand-by work to fit in with you and your patients.
We are used to working around patients, hospital staff and construction contractors. We observe the local health & safety rules and are happy to undertake on-site inductions where appropriate.
When the work begins we take pride in presentation…a good looking installation gains user acceptance much more quickly. We also take pride in attention to detail. Our experience tells us that minor adjustments can make all the difference to usability. (For example, not balancing the gas strut on a variable height wall mount can make it virtually unusable.) Routing the cables correctly and neatly also has an impact on usability but in addition has a significant effect on infection control, safety and perception.
We ensure that all wall or ceiling mounted equipment is fixed securely and have the experience, tools and fixings to make a secure mount to almost any wall, ceiling, joist or other area that might be deemed as unusable by anyone of lesser experience.
Our service can stretch as far as you need it to. We are regularly asked to install wall mounts and fit the PC, LCD screen(s), keyboard, mouse, smartcard reader etc on to it and route the cables. We also install large format displays with PC, keyboard etc and configure the display to operate in DICOM mode. We install PACS furniture with the workstation, greyscale PACS displays, RIS systems and display along with other peripherals. We will install as much equipment as you need to make the installation complete.
And when we have finished the job, we clean up after ourselves. We bring our own cleaning equipment and we take away the packaging (which can be significant on larger installations). We are ISO9001 accredited so each installation is quality checked.
