Parity Medical provides a full consultancy, design and installation service for MDT and Seminar Rooms.

With the recent implementation of PACS, Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings are starting to take a new, technological dimension. Whilst the Radiology Reading Rooms have implemented PACS for diagnosis and there are PACS review displays in some wards, clinics and theatres in many hospitals, MDT Rooms are often one of the last areas to fully implement PACS because the installations are much more complex due to the nature of the images, the devices from which the images are transmitted and the size of the audience.

Parity Medical’s team of consultants and engineers are able to advise on various aspects of an installation. After some consultation and a site survey we are able to provide a design service which takes account of various factors including the layout, construction materials, audience size, source devices, modalities and applications required amongst many other factors individual to each installation.

The result is to offer a solution that can include :

• Large LCD DICOM displays of the appropriate size and image quality (we offer the largest DICOM LCD displays in the UK )
• DICOM projectors
• A range of wall and ceiling mounts to enable all of the audience to view the images
• Connectivity from various digital and analogue devices (most commonly microscopes for histology and video conferencing)
• Video switching to display the image on as many displays as necessary for the audience size
• Cabling of data and video
• A full installation and configuration service
• Liaison with Project Managers, IT staff and Estates staff
