What do the IT team at West Suffolk think of a 360 view of their workstation estate?

The team at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust were one of the first NHS Trusts in the UK to fully adopt Orion battery management – which gives a remote 360 view of their entire workstation on wheels estate. Orion allows the IT team to track how their workstations are performing, triage battery issues, and use analytics to predict issues before they arise. In the past the IT team would have to walk from their office to locations throughout the hospital, locate the workstations and triage them. Now this is all done remotely and helps them save 2 hours a day. Let’s hear from the IT team and the benefits which Orion has brought to them.

Derek Lambert (EPR Project Technician) describes how they have full visibility compare to their old system.

Guy Hooper (EPR Programme Manager) describes how they chose best-of-breed workstations as they provide a bigger screen rather than handheld devices and get more out of Cerner.

Josh Wigley (EPR Technician) explains how the system dramatically saves time and how they can see which WOWs have disconnected, and if teams need further training on how to use them properly.
